Based on data and empirical evidence, Techi-UVC will play an important role in a multiple barrier approach to reducing the transmission of the virus causing COVID-19 and SARS-CoV-2,
June 17, 2020 —
The International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA) states that “UVC light has been used extensively for more than 40 years in disinfecting drinking water, waste water, air, pharmaceutical products, and surfaces against a whole suite of human pathogens” (Fluence UV Dose Required review IUVA): https://www.iuvanews.com/stories/pdf/archives/180301_UVSensitivityReview_full.pdf).
Further, IUVA believes that UV disinfection technologies can play a role in a multiple barrier approach to reducing the transmission of the virus causing COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2, based on current disinfection data and empirical evidence. UV is a known disinfectant for air, water and surfaces that can help to mitigate the risk of acquiring an infection in contact with the COVID-19 virus when applied correctly.*1
Since 1960 American Ultraviolet®, has designed and manufactured hundreds of thousands of insightful UV solutions that have led to remarkable results for many disinfecting applications:
• UVC germicidal fixtures for Healthcare, HVAC, and Food & Beverage industries, where they are used in the air, in liquids, and on surfaces
• UV lamps, for the UV curing of inks, coatings and adhesives
• UV coating equipment, including UV roller coaters, substrate feeders and stackers, and envelope printers.
And now in partnership with ClearFocus Innovations, American Ultraviolet® UVC technology is being made available on an Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) which can safely travel throughout the hospital, self access elevators, respond to fire alarm system and thoroughly disinfect patient rooms, CT Scan rooms and operating rooms and once disinfection is completed autonomously return to its autodocking station for battery recharge while waiting for another task to be assigned.
Techi-UVC disinfects a typical patient room in 10 and 15 minutes, has a four-hour battery life between charges and is programmed to move to various positions within the room which provides maximum disinfection of the surfaces in each room. Techi-UV emits 253.7 nanometer of light, offers 360 degree motion sensors as a safety precaution, uses eight (8), 33″ slimline UVC lamps optically centered around a highly polished reflector and can be programmed to the desired disinfection cycle times.
Techi-UVC technology offers easy building mapping using SLAM (simultaneous localization and mapping) and the best security features using multiple Lidar sensors. This technology allows Techi-UVC to navigate autonomously and safely throughout a facility, using Active Directory and access control doors, interfaces to call elevators as needed and integration with fire alarms systems so to navigate safely out of travel paths when a fire alarm is sounded.
ClearFocus Robots are installed internationally in Hospitals, Senior Living Facilities, Hotels, Casinos and Restaurants.
