Hustlemantherapper (@hustlemantherapper) has seemingly cracked the code on what it takes to be successful at a young age. The passionate artist who is signed with Atlantic Records has collaborated with legends in the rap game such as Trippie Red and Juice Wrld, and he’s just getting started.
After the release of his latest single “My Wrist,” debuted to rave reviews from fans and critics alike, Hustlemantherapper who also goes by Jerry Rodriguez has continued focusing on his music, without having an eye for the distractions.
We’ve seen time and time again, people who make it to the top but then fall down back to where they began after getting caught up in the trappings of fame. It’s easy to get distracted when people are shouting your name in the crowd every night, and everyone wants five minutes of your time.
For Jerry, he’s not in the rap game so that he can have nice cars or live in nice houses. All that is just extra for him. He enjoys making music. That’s what he wants to do. And as long as he can support himself as an artist, he’s going to be happy to continue working his hardest.
We respect the attitude that Jerry has, but one has to wonder how he’s able to keep all the distractions at bay. Jerry says that he’s able to filter out distractions and negativity from his mind every single day. In order to do this effectively, Jerry keeps a tight-knit group of friends, and he doesn’t work with anyone who doesn’t keep the same vision as he does. Jerry is always working, and he wants everyone who he partners up with to have the same focus and determination that he does. If someone doesn’t understand the power of hard work, staying positive and keeping your head down through all the ups and downs, Jerry doesn’t want any part of being friends or collaborating with that person.
For Jerry, the only thing that matters other than music is his family, his friends, and his hometown. The kid from Texas has dreams of giving back to the community that fostered his young development. He plans on doing a lot for the community, and for the youth in particular. He wants to help the youth get focused on achieving their goals, and wants to help them understand that anything is possible if you are focused and dedicated to your goals. In order to see that vision through, Jerry plans on starting a youth mentorship program. This program will allow him and a team of mentors to work with kids on an individual and a group level. Jerry understands that most of the children who grow up without father figures and people who they can look up to and receive guidance from will have trouble understanding what to do with their lives in order to be happy and successful. Jerry wants to lead by example through this mentorship program, and he plans on creating an entire art center to be the home of this program.
For now, Jerry is just focused on taking his career to the next level. He says that the lockdown has created a bit of a challenge, but he plans on using this time to get ahead and stay there. He plans on releasing more singles to build the hype for his next EP that will be released sooner rather than later. And he also plans on building a stronger relationship with his fan base by consistently putting out content and interacting with them on social media.
