Aura Print has officially decided to ban arguably one of the most hated fonts ever created from being printed on their machines. Referring to it as “overused, unprofessional and downright ugly”, the team has summarily decided that Comic Sans is “the worst font,” and now refuse to print anything with it featured.
Customers who send in their artwork will have to adhere to the team’s no Comic Sans allowed policy. Their customer service and design team have been given up to date training on how to spot Comic Sans and will move any files sent with Comic Sans being used to a quarantine folder so it doesn’t impact any other design files.
However, Aura Print is here to help those customers mistaken in their choice of fonts, by helping them choose different typography for their business card or flyer. They also have recently published a blog on their website with several alternatives that they can make use of instead.
Aura Print will begin to enforce their no Comic Sans policy on 01/04/2022 and until that date, while they will still print files containing Comic Sans, their team will be flagging these files internally so that once the ban comes into full force, they will be ready.
