Winner Of Red Dot Product Design Award 2020 By National University Of Singapore Undergraduates – Innovated World’s First 7-In-1 SSD Enclosure & USB Adapter

During an internship, the four students, Helen Tan, Karyn Chen and Fatim Mohrini, aged 23; and Aaron Razeen aged 26, came into contact with Flujo Technology, a Singaporean-owned company based in Shenzhen. Realising that most SSD specialized casings do not have multi adapters, Flujo Technology and the team constructed the Signature Pro.
The team of young innovators have noticed that bringing along multiple dongles is a hassle for many working professionals and students alike. While on a work trip for instance, several USB devices and adapters are required for a smooth presentation, all on top of having a laptop inside their bag. Whether for corporate uses, YouTubers, entrepreneurs, photographers or students, this Signature Pro is a must-have for those with a USB-C laptop.
Its lightweight and slim design helps significantly to ease travelling. When outside and out of data storage in devices, the docking hub enables data to be transferred to the laptop efficiently and provide passthrough power to the laptop at the same time. When a device has no more data space, Signature Pro can double up as an external storage space for up to 2 terabyte (2TB). Being a one-stop device, it saves up resources that would otherwise be spent on other computer accessories for storage of data and transferring of data.
Beyond the Red Dot Award, Signature Pro is well-received by news sites like Geeky Gadgets, Geeky Flow and the Straits Times. Flujo and the young creatives developed the product over 6 months before listing their brainchild up for Kickstarter. The campaign wrapped in November 2019 with a total pledge of $58,722 and 249 backers, almost a triple of their pledge at $15,000.
