On the heels of International Women’s Day, Miami- based interdisciplinary visual artist and fashion designer Lisa Camero, behind the brand LCamero, is excited to announce her foray into the NFT market.
Dubbed “House of Fashion,” her first NFT collection is set to include 10,000 randomly generated art pieces that celebrate the world of fashion and its impact on society, culture, and personal values.
To get there, LCamero will bring her audience through her artistic journey, as she creates NFTs that aim to blur the lines between the physical and digital fashion space via activations, virtual experiences, online and offline fashion shows, redeemable fashion items, and traditional art.
“There are so many creative ideas I want to put forward, but I have always felt limited by physical art. Now through NFTs, I can explore my wildest imagination combining both fashion and art,” said LCamero, who highlights reoccurring themes of femininity throughout her work.
This year’s International Women’s Day theme is #BreakingTheBias, which encourages a world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. What better time than now to address the gender gap in technology and empower female artists entering the NFT space.
“My art has always been about celebrating women and the belief that no matter your background, where you are from, or where you started, there are no limits to what you can achieve,” added LCamero.
LCamero was born in New Jersey and raised in Puerto Rico. In 2012, she graduated from the Miami International University of Art and Design and entered the world of fashion, quickly expanding her career into visual art. Her visual art practice then entered the realm of digital media, which she refers to today as Crypto Art.
